We are currently accepting applications for part-time staff positions at Escape Room LA, Now in our 8th year, Escape Room LA is one of the leading escape room companies in California. In the games, participants have up to one hour to work together and “escape” by solving the clues and puzzles they find.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
All staff perform two different job functions:

1. Reception Staff.
Greet participants as they arrive in our lobby and check them in.
Explain the game to groups of participants, review the rules, and answer questions.
Insure that games begins on time.
Reception staff also perform light cleaning duties and basic maintenance of room props.

2. In-Room Staff (Game Masters).
In-room staff perform an active role during games. Although you portray a “character “as part of the game, this is not an acting position, it is primarily a customer service position. In-room staff are responsible for setting up and resetting the game room, and provide subtle hints if needed, during games.
At the conclusion, you review the puzzles and clues in the room, and explain to participants how to arrive at the solution.

Our staff interact directly with participants. As the “face” of our company, we requires someone who is personable and outgoing, well-organized and detail-oriented. You must be able to deal with different types of personalities in a calm and professional manner. You must be able to work as part of a team.

HOURS:
In general, you must be able to work the same schedule each week: weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) are required. Most staff also work one or two weeknight evenings. Please do not apply if you are not available on weekends. Additional shifts on weekdays are sometimes available as well.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation is an hourly fee of $20. All staff must first participate in an 8-10 hour training period (schedule tbd) for which you will be paid an hourly fee of $16.
